The Train arrived!!!
The first train to travel the Murrayville line arrived in town at 8:15am, Friday February 12th. Congratulations to everyone involved in this long fight!!
Thanks to everyone who has supported this fight in many ways, including Mildura Rural City Council, Peter Crisp MP, ABC local radio, the Border Times and all communities along the Murrayville line.
When this fight started it was thought impossible to have a closed line re-opened. Well, the farmers of Murrayville and the 'mallee track' have shown nothing is impossible!!
Well done to all those along the line who raised their voices to make this happen. It may have taken a few years of working hard for this, but there is an operational rail line to Murrayville once more.
